Appointments and fees
We require min 24hrs notice to cancel as this allows us to fill that space. If you cancel on the day of your treatment or less than 24hrs of appointment a fee of $100 applies and any pre paid treatments are deemed as used. We are happy to reschedule if you give us more that 24hr notice as your time slot is hard to fill at the last moment and we have structured our appointments to satisfy all clients. This is courtesy to all involved. Please make sure you agree with and understand these terms.
After hours care
Shine Clinic does not provide an after hours service. If after hours care is required, we suggest you contact St Andrews Priority Emergency Centre at Wickham Tce, City. Telephone: 07 3834 4455 or the Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital 627 Rode Road, Chermside, General Enquires 3326 3000. Details of these calls and /or visits are conveyed to us to ensure the opimum continuity of care; these 24hr services are privately billed.
Prescriptions and referrals
As we are committed to providing the best possible service, it is necessary for patients to make appointment in order t have prescriptions written, irrespective of whether the prescription is part of an ongoing treatment. Please feel free to discuss this policy with the doctor if you have any concerns. A consulation is required for all specialist referrals. This enable the doctor to provide the specialist with the current details of your medical condition. The referral is a legal document, which enables you to claim benefits from Medicare.
Preventative Health Care
In our commitment to ongoing preventative health care Shine Clinic will include all patients in our reminder and recall system unless otherwise advised by yourself.

Your medical record is confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of staff.
